Dear Readers!
I’m happy to announce the completion of yet another PLC course. This one focused on everything related to process visualisation and related various software packages like FactoryTalk View Studio, C-More, EasyBuilder and Wonderware. The goal here was to create an HMI application in all of the aforementioned tools (if a freely usable/demo version was available) for the same PLC program, and in turn learn key concepts about how HMI screens, controls, data displays should be created in an organized and user friendly way. It was also a good way to become comfortable with these tools, which gives an in-depth view how various software approaches the same problem, namely visualizing a process. If one has no idea about how to start creating HMIs, this course should be stop #1, it is totally worth it.
